Adelaide born Dave Freeman is an independent singer/songwriter who has always been likened to Neil Diamond for his voice quality and stage presence.
Freeman originally wrote a Diamond show, “The Singer Sings His Songs” in 2014 to tick a bucket list and answer a growing following. It quickly sold out. The audience response was so overwhelming, Dave decided to follow it up with a second show called “OMG! Neil Diamond Sounds Like Me for the Adelaide Fringe Festival. His 2015/16 festival seasons all sold out through to 2019
“I think what the audience find appealing and maybe different to other shows is that I tell the Neil Diamond story in an intimate manner, giving the audience an insight into the man, his struggles and his achievements. I guess it also helps that Neil sounds a lot like me! Dave says with a laugh
